Spode Woodland Turkey 12-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The dinnerware is beautiful. The problem is that the dinner plates DO NOT have the Turkey on them. The dinner plates are of the Delamere pattern, which has the same brown border but nothing in the center. The salad plates and the mugs have the turkey emblem. The description states that each plate has the turkey on it. Spode does make the dinner plates with the turkey. I decided to keep the set because it was a great deal at the time and I can put the salad plate inside the dinner and it looks great or I can use the dinner plates at other times.

Churchill China Thanksgiving Turkey Multi Colors 20-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is the second set of Churchill Turkey plates I purchased. They looked really nice on my Thanksgiving table and I wanted to have another set on hand for extra guests. The only thing I didn't like was that many of the accessories in this collection (gravy boat, salt and pepper shakers) are unavailable and I haven't had any luck finding them elsewhere.

Jade Moon 16-pc. Dinnerware Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Beautiful dishes...great shape...BUT they break incredibly easily. These are NOT microwave safe, regardless of what it says. The black areas of the plates, mugs heat up incredibly hot (we've had several people burned warming up items on these) Even dishwasher use has caused deep cracks in the plates...maybe the glaze isn't watertight. (?) The shape is great, BUT they chip and crack so easily just with moderate use. I have service for 12, and its the same thing with all of the sets. Very breakable. Okay if you want to hand wash and use occasional. Definitely Not for everyday use.

Baum Radiant Lines RADDL16D Dinnerware 16-Piece Set, Service for 4, Linen Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Colors are much more green and overall dark than in the photo which makes it appear mostly light brown, with some greenish tints. The bowls are square-ish and extremely deep, exactly as photoed. But note this makes it really hard to put them in a dishwasher. The surface of the plates are ridged where you see the lines in the pattern, so the plates are not totally flat. Lastly, the item is of overall low quality. Items are very thick and heavy which would seem to indicate some sort of quality. However, after a handful of normal use one of the plates already has a large chip in the edge, another plate isn't flat on the bottom so it wobbles when cutting food on it, the finish is uneven and sometimes lumpy where color changes, and overall doesn't appear very well made. I won't be keeping mine.

Baum Radiant Lines RADD16D Dinnerware 16-Piece Set,Service for 4, Denim Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I've had the dishes for only a month or so, but so far they are really nice. They seem durable and haven't scratched. The color is nice and the appearance is as pictured. If you want total color consistency, these may not be for you as there is a fair amount of variation in the glaze from piece to piece, with some being more or less intensely blue. But I like the look of them. They are described as "Denim" blue and like denim, some are more "faded" than others. The only other criticism I have is that although they are designated as microwave safe, they tend to get hot when used in the microwave. Overall though, I am happy with my purchase and enjoy the look of the dishes.

Johnson Brothers Desert Rose 28-Piece Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I ordered this 28 piece Johnson Brothers/Franciscan dinnerware set from Barron's through Amazon. When I received it in the mail it was securely wrapped up and everything was safe inside. And shipment was fast. A few weeks later, I received a hand-written note from Barron's thanking me for the purchase! Great customer service!

Desert Rose the largest selling pattern in the history of American dinnerware, made its debut in later 1941.It has enjoyed the world's longest period of popularity of any dinnerware pattern produced by a single company. The Rose Rugosa, rugged wild rose of poem and song was a natural design selection. The character of the bloom with its simple delicate petals made it adaptable to hand painting. This beautiful handpaintedpattern is still one of America's favorite casual tableware patterns. In 1964 the sixty millionth piece had been produced and Desert Rose is now on display in the historical Smithsonian Museum. First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy chose Franciscan Desert Rose for use in the White House. In Desert Rose, the irregularly scalloped edge of thorny vines creates a believable frame for the fully opened pink roses with their golden centers and soft green leaves. The softness of the design is further enhanced by its cream colored background. All pieces are microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe.Accessories are also available.

Johnson Brothers Friendly Village Dinner Plate Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This was advertised as a set of four plates. I ordered 4 sets and received 4 plates TOTAL! I called the people who sent the plates and they basically just told me I was out of luck and that Amazon was advertising in a false way. I wanted these for the holidays, and so was stuck not having the dishes I needed for Christmas. I was more than disappointed and felt this was truly false advertising. Even to this day the ad STILL says Friendly Village Dinner Plate 9Set of 4)!!!! It is STILL false advertising. I just wish someone would make this right...

Johnson Brothers Willow Blue Bread & Butter Plate Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I looked for a long time before finding these delightfully small Blue Willow bread and butter plates from Johnson Brothers. They match our other Blue Willow china (which we've had for many years) perfectly, in both color and pattern, and are exactly the size we'd been looking for: just a little larger than 6" in diameter. Prior to finding these, I had been able to find only two or three at a time at much higher prices, of course. These were an excellent value and were shipped quickly and carefully packed.

Wedgwood JOHNSON BROTHERS - SUMMER CHINTZ: Dinner Plate 10.5" Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I ordered this item for my mother as she needed some replacement plates and had found that the recent issues were made in China and were of very LOW QUALITY. I set out on a hunt to find some specifically Made in England. Low and behold I saw this here on good old reliable Amazon. The order was placed, the itmes shiped and were delivered fairly quickly. The excitement of receiving these made the wait seem longer than it actually was. Upon opening the box the huge disappointment was right there on the plates ...... Low quality and Made in China.
A call to the company was made. They said it was Amazon's problem and not theirs. They had no say so in how the items were advertised and they weren't responsible for the advertisement that was incorrect. They did offer a refund upon return of the plates and so it was done. Now if we can just get that credit to our card we'd be all set.
This company will not get my business in the future and Amazon has been notified of the listing being incorrect though nothing has been done, yet.

Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles 12-Piece Holiday Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased two sets of the Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles 12-piece Holiday Dinnerware. It is beautiful and very nice quality. I actually was expecting a stoneware or earthenware product. But it is just the opposite. I was somewhat hesitant to purchase the set because it is described as pink and I really did not want pink. The color is more of what I would call a county red. I would recommend this set. It really is beautiful.

Johnson Brothers Willow Blue Dinnerware 7 3/4-Inch Salad Plates, Set of 4 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)These Willow Blue "Salad" Plates, in a 7 3/4-Inch size, are not replacement plates for salad plates that are part of a five-piece placesetting. Those salad plates are 6-Inches in diameter. So one could use these slighter larger plates as dessert plates, small luncheon plates, or as salad plates mixed-and-matched with a white porcelain dinner pattern. Another use of Willow Blue (or the antique pattern of Blue Willow) is in platehangers as pretty wall decorations or in plateholders in a china or curio cabinet. In any case, this set would make a lovely addition to one's collection.

Johnson Brothers Regency 5 Piece Place Setting Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Johnson Brothers (now part of Waterford) ceased production in England in 2003 and shipped manufacturing to China. For a reliable source of pieces made in England (and China as well, if you're interested), buy from Replacements, Ltd. in North Carolina (an Amazon seller). For more information, go directly to [...] and search on Johnson Brothers Regency, then call them for clarification if needed. They're a great company with great customer service and very helpful; you won't be disappointed. And if you are, they'll make it right. Although I did not buy my few Johnson Bros. Regency pieces from them, I have purchased other china there and found the experience to be 100% first rate. Would not hesitate to use them again.
