(More customer reviews)This is a fairly nice embroidery machine for the price.It does have a few things I don't like but overall I am glad that I purchased it.The embroidery designs sew out beautifully!And getting a machine that you can hook directly to your pc is definately the way to go! It elimanates pricy design disks and cards.You can find lots of great desings on the web to purchase and download to use on this machine plus it accepts many formats.What I don't like about the embroidery aspect is the fact that the large hoop is not a true 5X7.So I have to resize a lot of my designs to fit the hoop.I really wish they offered a larger hoop as an extra accessory!The digitizing software that comes with the 200 is not that spectacular.You can take simple clipart pictures and turn them into embroidery but nothing too complex and the software dosen't allow you to make appliques.I think you can get better digitizing software elsewhere.It also only comes with 2 fonts: courier and block.You can purchase a disk with extra fonts but the disks for this machine are expensive! I think they run around $200.The sewing part of this machine I rarely use mostly because I have a Euro Pro sewing machine that I sew on and comparing the 2 I am all for the Euro Pro hands down.This machine seams to sew a little "rough" in comparison.Overall I think this is a Great starter embroidery machine at a good price.

10 Spool Embroidery Thread Stand Review

(More customer reviews)Bought the wrong item. This thread stand is for the real large spools of thread, not the small (1100) threads for embroidering on my home embroidery machine. The thread stand is much larger than I anticipated. I suppose it would work but it's too big for my use. It's gray in color..I know, a bit picky but I prefer the white thread holders that are smaller and fit behind the machine. Will be returning it.

Singer CE-100 Futura Sewing and Embroidery Machine Review

(More customer reviews)What makes this product so attractive is that by connecting it to a computer you can get an endless amount of embroidery designs. It is also a full feature sewing machine.
I bought this item for my wife's birthday. It does everything that is advertised. The sewing functions are straight forward, and everything worked as it should.
The embroidery isn't as staight forward. The instructions are very poor, and limited. Although I have to admit, that I figured most of it out fairly quickly. The embroidery is slow, and of course you have to change thread for every color change in your pattern. The designs came out looking good. I also downloaded some free designs from other sites, and they worked just as well.
My problem with this machine is two fold. The one we bought broke after only a few hours of use. It was a minor problem. The bobbin holder had a crack where the tension screw goes in. At first everything was fine, but within a few hours the thread started catching in the crack until it was unusable. I'm sure that this won't be a problem for most customers.
The second problem is much more severe in my opinion. No one has parts for the machine, and it's near impossible to even get a parts list. One item that doesn't come with the machine that my wife wanted was a zipper foot. The part number for that item was listed in the book, but when I went to find it, absolutely no one had it. I even wrote Singer's part's department, and they wrote back telling me to call.
It's a neat machine. As long as you get one that works, and aren't concerned about parts availability, I don't think you can find a better ebroidery machine for less money.

These threads are beautiful, they sew great (no fraying or breaking!!), and the colors are fantastic! I would recommend them to anybody! They really are large spools... not the huge overlock spools, but nice, thick, healthy amounts of thread. Buy them!

4 X-Large Spools of White Bobbin Thread. These are 60wt 2ply Filament Bobbin Thread. Each spool has 5000 meters of thread on it. This will last you a long long time and you do not need to worry about running out of Bobbin thread while Embroidering. Each spool is brand new and is individually shrink wrapped to prevent damage from dust. Polyester has little or no lint. Hence your machine will run longer between cleanings. This thread is very shiny appearance, thin, lightweight and yet extremely strong. Embroiders love this since it creates a soft backing, even on dense designs. (More customer reviews)I have had he-240 Brother sewing embroidery machine for a month now, I love it. It is very easy to learn how to use the embroidery part! When I did have problems it was because I made the errors. The machine can only do a 4x4 area, which is great to start with but if you want a lager area, look at a different Brother machine. There is a large hoop that will fit this machine, but you can only do a 4x4 design, but the hoop is great when you want to do 2 designs close together. This hoop is sold in a set with a pocket hoop and another 4x4 hoop, this is a great set and deal. I hope this helps you!
